Hi flippers,

Basically tomorrow is teacher’s day celebrations and we all have to dress as teachers. We are not limiting ourselves to any teacher.

For the guys, most of us will be dressing up as Mr Yap, which is just a long sleeve shirt (rolled up) with long pants and black shoes.

For the girls, you guys do not have to restrict yourself to Mrs Har or Ms Yee. You girls can dress up as any teachers in DHS. The point about cross dressing has been brought about by various members of the class. I honestly do not know whether it is allowed because I wasn’t in school the previous week.

However, other classes are dressing up as powerpuff girls, zorro, danny phantom, individual teachers (ms fang) batman… … Wouldn’t they be cross dressing as well? A teacher is a very neutral occupation in terms of gender, so to play safe, just dress up as any female teacher in DHS. Please do not limit yourselves by thinking, a long sleeve shirt (rolled up) with long pants and black shoes is a male form of attire.

So girls, just dress up as any teacher deemed necessary. oh ya, please dress up more conservatively.

The last thing is that please come to school in uniform and tie. We will have a time period to change out. Please bring the necessary items to make yourself look like teachers. If there are any queries please feel free to contact me.

Hi 4F girls,

Want to ask what all of you are wearing on Monday. Cos , today a few of us, (teresa, ruixin, angeline, sihui and me, sry if i missed out anyone) were saying about dressing up as Mrs Har or Ms Yee. Apparently most of us dont have the clothes and we thought of dressing up as Mr Yap instead. (but actually cross-dressing isnt really allowed-.-) So who do all of you want to dress up as? We were supposed to dress up as Mrs Har. Can we have a consensus for us girls? Dear flippers,

1 For Monday, please come to school at 8 am to get your ethnic costumes. For the guys, colours and sizes have already been chosen. For the girls, we will distribute the ethnic costumes by a first come first serve basis. If 2 people choose the same one at the same time, a drawing of lots will be held. Sorry if the ethnic costumes doesn’t look as nice as u may expect it to be. In my honest opinions, I think most of them look rather nice. I would like everyone to bring along safety pins in case the sizes doesn’t fit. All guys must bring safety pins because the pants they give are very long.

2 The cost of the costume is 20 bucks each. The reason for choosing this costume is because the material is more comfortable then the cheaper ones for the female and it is the cheapest one for males. Female who have bangles, please bring them along.

3 Please stay back after school for class photo taking. It will last about an hour, at different locations in the school.

4 Please bring what is stated in the email for poster design.

5 The Humanities Challenge group would like to request the class to help for one scene. We hope to have the class support and cooperation.

6 And yes, you still have to wear your tie to school before you change out (part of school rules). Or come to school directly in it. No flip flops( no pun intended).

Dear class,

The 8th of June class dance session and outing is compulsory. All flippers/floppers are to report in school canteen at 8 am sharp. I will be in school with Mr Yap at 7.45 am. I expect to see every flippers/floppers except for Zexi, joy, tianli, yawen, xintong, serena, mengran. Peishan terence yongsheng and junkai coming at 3pm, jasmine leaving at 3pm.

If you are unable to turn up with a valid reason, i need a MC or Parents letter as evidence. Please do aware the importance of this event/outing. If u have a valid reason, it is best if u can tell me by tonight.

i will give an analogy of a class to a machine. Every machine contains many different parts and every different part have its very own and unique importance. Therefore we as a class, must work together hand in hand to achieve much more. If any of us do not cooperate, the machine will fail. Therefore i re-instate the point that every ones attendance is important.

I remember that in the Asean summit talk last Wednesday, many of us did not turn up. It is very irresponsible for us, including me, to miss the event. Be it accidentally or purposely, it is very irresponsible. Therefore i hope less of such things will happen again.

this is the timeline for tomorrow

0800hrs-1230hrs Class dance ( if we end early can go lunch early, vice versa for ending late)
1230hrs- 1400hrs Class lunch at ECP (we will decide tomorr0w)

Wanted to write sth on cls blog, but sudd all the thoughts just disappeared argh :/ nvm.

Anyway just wna say sry, couldnt make it to support the guys, although i wanted to quite badly -.- Lol and my MEP theory is cmi -.-

And guys although you lost by a few points, we all know that all of you did your best and we are proud of that. It doesnt matter if you win or lose, maybe its just for that moment that you feel sad, you could have done better. But after that, after getting the name, recognition, what you will remember is actually the times you and your team trained together, laughed, got serious tgt, have the MUSTWIN feeling. Yea sth like that, idk how 2 explain. Just that you feel as a team, a rly good team and you know you can do your best on the court, show others how much you have trained, improved, and how much you are the most imba and bonded team. You feel satisfaction if you win, but even if you dont, you have tried your best and know how much effort and time you've put in, and most importantly, you have support from your friends and people around you.

Girls too, even if we didnt get in the first round, its important to know that we did try our best, staying back to train, from a cmi team to a wonderful team. To me, we are the most wonderful-est team, best team, and I love all of you and really appreciate your hardwork. Even those who dont play balls like huien, you tried and did your utmost best, even though you didnt play. But seriously your cheer was the best part of the game and I was really touched by it thank you. Thanks to all those who came to support us, and I hope we didnt disappoint anyone.

So lets jiayou as a class, we can do it and show others that 4F09 will always be one class, one loved class. I love 4F.

I feel really bad, for not being able to be there for the guys (like the other girls), to be there for the whole match, to be only there for the first few minutes. But I'm glad I gave it my all in the cheering, I risk getting killed (By anyone, because I'm not supposed to be outside), I'm glad, I screamed like a crazy idiot, made myself look like a fool, because it's worth it.

Y'know, it feels good, just to sit there and cheer madly, and even though you hope to win and sometimes you do and sometimes you don't, the experience that you went through, actually means much more than anything else.

You may not win the final battle, but you won close relations. You win some, you lose some. That's part of life. I'm glad that I got a really cool bonded class. I really want to know what Janson said to you guys that made you (girls) cry.

Anyway, even though it was really tiring to run from PAC to the court, to and fro a few times, it was really fun and it's just unexplainable.

I pretty much heard what Janson said to the guys in class and stuff, and even though, our surprise didn't manage to be a surprise, but thanks for acting surprised :D

I really love 4Flipflop. During the rehearsal, I was like, since I can't support them, all I can do now, is to work hard, give all my best for EDS Night, since around 13+ people from our class is going. I think that's pretty much what I can do for the class?

All the memories we shared are irreplaceable and unerasable :D

This is Janson team “manager or coach”. Today, we lost the interclass finals against 4G. We lost the match by 5 points, the score was 24- 19. The score was tight throughout. And it was the last 2 minutes that we lost the match by a foul in.

However in everything we do, there are advantages and disadvantages. Despite losing, we gained. We gained the class spirit. We gained the respect. We gained the class Bond. Don’t we all think, these benefits are more valuable than a victory?

I think losing is a devil in disguise. Like what Charlene mentioned: If we din lose we would not have bonded so much. I was personally upset and disappointed when we lost the match, but looking at our Junjie’s tears, and the girls puffy red eyes, I smiled. I was glad that we grew. We grew from self centred individuals, to class full of team spirit. This made me very proud of every single one of you guys. You made me feel that whatever we do, we will never be alone.

We fought with full of valour, and we cheered with pride. We turned superficial bond, to deep lasting ones. We always will remember 4F is where we belong, this is our home. Now let’s all close this memorable chapter of our school life and work on harder for other glories. Let us all work hand in hand, to build a time of our life.

This is junjie the class joker cum captain. Today is a very meaningful day to me. Why? First of all , I broke a promise i made to myself ever since i was primary 1. When i was in P1, many of my classmates cried because they didn’t want to go. I didn’t cry and told myself i wont be like them. But today, this fateful 21^st of may, i shed tears for the first time in front of a crowd. Tears of sorrow, tears of regret. However, after that , when u guys came over to cheer me up, they changed into tears of joy.

Personally, prior to this interclass, i don’t really like 4f. I’m always living in the past, be it my love life or social life. I’m always reminiscing about my 2E class, and grumbling about how lacking 3f/4f is compared to Elliot. Today totally changed my mindset on this class. For the first time in my life i felt so comfortable crying in front of my class, because i know u guys will not laugh at me, but offer me ur shoulder , giving me a hug. Yes, i hated my sec 3 and 4 class. But as of today i will promise a more active JJ in terms of contributing to the class.

I am sure that many of you are surprised that the class joker, the stupid noob results guy actually cried today. I am equally as surprised. But these tears are valuable. I saw, through visions blurred by tears, a family, frenship, and bonding. Without these tears, i would probably nvr appreciate the class more.

To the girls, thank you for ur neverending support, and for the big big cardboard thingo. I believe that this interclass has bonded us well , and may leon be with his love as of today. -.-

To the guys, we have started training for today since sec 3, although we lost, we have learnt a many great things about one another. At least i can say that i know the guys more, i know my jansey babe more, i forged greater fwensheep with justina, i got to smell ahlian and junkai. We shall not be disheartened by this , disappointed as we all are.

To Mr yeo and mr aw, thank you for being willing to come down and support us, I am very touched by your actions and promise to do better for ur subjects

Ace test will be next week. We will have to prepare a cheat sheet, 2-pages A4 size paper. Only can be filled with statistics and facts, no planning of essay. Cheat sheet will be due next tues, 12may.
ACE wks abt the UN conference thing (idk, mr lee said work on it or sth with your partners._.)

Hi people,

This is basically a recod of observations made by people who went down to the home on Wednesday.

1.There are four levels to conduct the project but the five of us decided that we should just focus on the first two levels.

2.The residents can be divided into two groups, the more active ones are found on the first floor and the not so active ones are found on the second floor.

3.Performance people please note that we would have to plan 2 performances in 2 hour, for the residents on the first and second floor. Also remember that this is a nursing home, nothing too exciting please.

4.Leon please upload pictures to show warriors what food are accepted in the home, and warriors please bring enough utensils for the folks.

5.The kitchen there is about 1/4 the size of the school's canteen.

6.Majority of the residents there are chinese who speaks dialect.

Yep that's all.
Let's all put in effort into this project even if it's not graded.

Please pay attention to this article. It is of utmost importance.

Three women in KL turned up at hospitals over a 5-day period,
all with the same symptoms - fever, chills, vomiting, followed by muscular collapse, paralysis and finally,death.
There were no outward signs of trauma. Autopsy results showed toxicity in the blood. These women did not know each other, and seemed to have nothing in common..

It was discovered, however, that they had all visited a same restaurant along Jalan Kuchai Lama within days of their deaths. The health department descended on the restaurant, shutting it down. The food, water and air conditioning were all inspected and tested, to no avail.

The big break came when a waitress at the restaurant was rushed to the hospital with similar symptoms. She told doctors that she had been on vacation, and had only went to the restaurant to pick up her check. She did not eat or drink while she was there, but had used the restroom.

That is when one toxicologist, remembering an article he had read, drove up to the restaurant, went into the restroom and lifted the toilet seat. Under the seat, out of normal view, was a small spider. The spider was captured and brought back to the lab,where it was determined to be the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata), so named because of its reddened flesh color. This spider ' s venom is extremely toxic but can take several days to take effect. They live in cold, dark, damp climates, and toilet rims provide just the right atmosphere.

Several days later, a lawyer from JB showed up at a hospital emergency room.. Before his death, he told the doctor that he had been away on business, had taken a flight from Indonesia , changing planes in Singapore , before returning home. He did not visit the restaurant while there. He did, as did all of the other victims, have what was determined to be a puncture wound, on his right buttock.

Investigators discovered that the flight he was on had originated in India . The Civilian Aeronautics Board (CAB) ordered an immediate inspection of the toilets of all flights from India , and discovered the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata) spider ' s nests on four different planes!

It is now believed that these spiders can be anywhere in the country. So please, before you use a public toilet, lift the seat to check for spiders.

SO BEWARE PEOPLE!!

i guess at the back of my mind is always how to teach you all so that you will perform to your maximum potential. cos seriously, i dun think 4F is just an average class. i fall in love with the spirit that u all have when i first step into the class... but it would be a waste if the results of the class is not showing at the end of the yr.

i am not referring to my subject only - in fact i am talking abt the whole class. but through my subject i am fearful that you all are not doing well... could it be my explanation not able to make u understand? could it be that i am pressuring too much with many assignments and worksheets? could it be that i speak both languages when i teach? all these i have been reflecting constantly and every now and then.

these 2 days i have shared with u about the fact that there are certain number of peeps gg for SSS... that is something i hope that you all will treasure wad the school have for u... dun ever take it that we are punishing u for wad u have not done - but take it that we are giving you the environment to strive n work hard. you need to work hard - for your future.

jiayou 4F, if i have not given hope on you... you should not give up hope on urself - let's make this from a good class to a great class where we can celebrate our success at the end of the year.

Mr Kiw talked to me today and we discussed about many things. The most discussed topic would be our results as a class. What inspired me to share this message to the class is that in his heart, he cares for us. Maybe showing his care through a perspective like no other, and to us, showing care in a horrible manner. But were we appreciative of his care, of his concern?

As we know, our results have not been good. But I believe our class have the potential to challenge other classes not only in class league, but academically as well. This however, relies a lot on you, me,and us. I want to see a class where we help each other achieve our dreams, helping each other fly to greater heights. I want to see Dillon topping a chemistry paper, Nick topping physics paper etc.

I want to see people who are good in sciences(Terence) to help people weaker in sciences( janson) I want to see people good in English(Angeline) helping people that are weaker in languages( yokeming) I want to see people good in geog( Deborah) helping people poor in geog( I don’t know)

There are many times I myself as the chairperson of 4f have not lead by example to everyone. Academically, I was never a role model for the class. But from a corner deep in my heart, I want all of us to do well academically. Like what Mr Yap , Mr Kiw and even your parents mentioned. We are students, our job is to study.

Everything else is secondary. I hope to see us hand in hand working together, helping each other reach for the stars.

Hello 4F peeps i am bored so i went to check out how this day known as Valentines Day came about :) ( P.S This one i copy and paste one hor )
History of Valentines Day
We all indeed know about valentine day date i.e. fourteenth February and that it is a day of lovers. But I'm sure many of us do not have a clear idea as to who discovered Valentines Day and how did the very idea of celebrating Valentine's Day come from? Many of us are ignorant about the origin of Valentine's Day. It is interesting to learn about Valentine Day story so read further to know about the history of Valentines Day.

Actually nobody has a clear idea as to who was saint valentine because there were three different saint Valentines and all were martyred. Some stories suggest that valentine day owes its origin to the Roman Empire during the reign of emperor Claudius II. It was in those times when the emperor felt that married men turned out to be poor soldiers and thus he was against the very idea of marriage of young couples. But when he got to know that saint valentine defied him and was secretly encouraging young lovers to get married, he passed orders for his death. And it was on the fourteenth of February when this great saint valentine died in around 270 AD. A couple of stories suggest that saint valentine protected Christians from the clutches of harsh Roman punishments.While some maintain that Valentine himself initiated the concept of sending love message in which he had ended the note by writing 'from your valentine'. People say during imprisonment he fell in love with the jailor's daughter and he had expressed his feelings for her in the most romantic manner by writing a love letter. Well the more the mouths, more the number of stories. But one thing that everyone believes in is the fact that Valentine was a very romantic person and was the one to lay the foundation for lovers to come forward and express feelings to their valentine. So guys always remember, love is the most beautiful feeling of heart that thrills the other organs so don't hesitate confessing it to the person you love and we wish you good luck!!!
